Karen Ingram is a native of Bronx, New York. She is a National Board Certified Career Academy Coordinator for the Digital Media and Engineering & Design Academies at Middle Creek High School (MCHS) in Apex, NC. Her educational history began at Nyack College in New York City, NY and has continued her education in North Carolina. She holds a Master’s Degree (M.Ed.) through North Carolina State University in addition to a K-12 Administrative License in Education through Gardner-Webb University. Mrs. Ingram has a passion for teaching and enjoys serving as a role model for students. She serves as the Ministry Leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at MCHS. She has formerly functioned in several leadership roles as Magnet Coordinator, WCPSS Mentor, SAT Testing Supervisor, Durham StudentU Advocate and Mentor Teacher. Mrs. Ingram has also served on the Administrative Leadership Team for Durham Public Schools. She continues to serve as the SAT Testing Supervisor and she has a deep interest in helping students to excel on the SAT and ACT exams. During the 2008/2009 school year, Mrs. Ingram was voted as the first Teacher of the Year for the City of Medicine Academy (CMA).
